Hi! I'm Olivia
I’m the photographer behind Rappahannock Reflections. My love for photography started when I was young and grew through classes in high school, eventually leading me here.
I’m soft-spoken, fun-loving, and happiest around nature, creativity, and the people I love. My goal is to make each session feel calm and natural, while capturing photos that feel honest and true to you.
LIFE, LIGHT, AND REFLECTIONS
Inspired By
The artists that shape the way I see light and color.
“There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.”
- Ansel Adams, interview with David Sheff.
“It is the photographer, not the camera, that is the instrument.”
- Eve Arnold, The Unretouched Woman.
“The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.”
- Dorothea Lange, quoted in Los Angeles Times, August 13, 1978.
“Taking a photograph means putting head, eye and heart in the same line of sight.”
- Henri Cartier-Bresson, quoted by Centre Pompidou in its Cartier-Bresson exhibition material.
Where It Started
Before portraits and sessions, there was nature. Flowers, trees, skies, water, and little details taught me how to notice light, color, and feeling. That love still shows up in every photo I take.

Ms. Olivia was such a professional, it truly amazes me. She is dedicated, on time, and very persistent. Her work is extraordinary. She took graduation pictures for my daughter and they were remarkable. I will definitely use her for my son's graduation pics next year. Keep up the good work. Also I forgot to mention her prices are very affortable. If you are looking for someone to take her time and not just take pictures, she's the one you need, look no further. Thank you for your time and patience.
